After a long break over the holiday, it’s time to get back on stage and make some music!

Today I am doing a little experiment, mixing a first half consisting of music by Thomas Adés, Matyas Seiber and my good friend Allan Gravgaard Madsen with a second half of the concert, where we will play Bach’s Goldberg Variation for clarinet, basset horn and bass clarinet.

Quite a bit of work, putting this masterpiece by Bach together! How do you transform the articulation and phrasing of the piano to the playing of 3 wind instruments? Should you try to imitate the piano or add the fluent legato of the clarinets? Come and hear the result in the Symphonic Hall in Aarhus!
